Claudia Hirn — somewhere between two adventures
It is still summer outside —
and yet this issue
brought me the cold.
Do you know that moment? You are standing somewhere, a breathtaking landscape all around you, completely present. The tip of your nose is cold, your breath freezes as you exhale. And still there is this warmth, because this winter holds something quite special.
That is exactly where I am taking you in Issue 04. A husky sled ride in Finland. Natural hot springs in Kyrgyzstan that can only be reached on foot. Snow on a volcano, with a view of the sea.
The warmth comes above all from the people behind it all. Italian cooking at the highest level, drawing the slopes of Mount Etna and everything that grows there into the kitchen with real passion. A Christmas market that makes you believe in Santa Claus again. People who pass on their traditions with their whole heart.
Cold that warms.
